Hesley Harps graduated summa cum laude from Sewanee: The University of the South, one of the nation’s top liberal arts universities, with degrees in Environmental Studies: Ecology and Biodiversity and Theater Arts. She is a proud member of Phi Beta Kappa. Hesley has been working as a tutor and teacher for many years and is passionate about bringing material to life. She works with students ranging from kindergarten to college level and specializes in Algebra I and II, geometry, biology, all levels of elementary and middle school science/math, English, history, literature/the classics, reading comprehension and fluency skills, building vocabulary, organizational skills, essay writing, general homework support, and all levels of the HSPT, ISEE, SSAT, SAT, and ACT. Additionally, she has helped students complete remedial math and English programs. She often works with children facing executive function challenges, autism, ADD, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and more. She is engaging and upbeat when helping students develop strong time management skills, goals, and a positive attitude towards learning. Hesley loves discovering and developing new strategies to help students reach their goals, while making the learning process both memorable and fun. She is available remotely via Zoom.
