Christina Feng

Christina is a passionate, learner-centered tutor with extensive experience coaching elementary and middle school speech & debate, mathematics (pre-algebra, Algebra I, geometry, Algebra II, and pre-calculus), reading comprehension, and essay writing. After attending Arcadia High School for one year, she skipped 10th-12th grade and matriculated into university early, graduating summa cum laude from UCLA at age 19 with a B.A. in psychology. Her unique academic journey has fueled her approach and goal in teaching young scholars: to empower students to create their own academic and personal journeys that are not limited by conventional boundaries. Her approach to both English, mathematics, and earth science is to break down large concepts—like essay prompts, equations, or word problems—into understandable units, and then begin to synthesize units together to create cohesive idea—whether it’s in the form of a multi-page personal statement, mathematical proof, or persuasive argument. She loves working with driven, creative, and curious students of all ages. In her free time, she loves to draw portraits on Procreate, explore new TV shows, read neuroscience and psychology journals, and walk her adorable Shepherd-Husky mix Qiqi. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in neuroscience at the University of Minnesota, and is available via Zoom.
