Raised in New York and Connecticut, Jordan has been a private tutor since 2010. After graduating from Columbia University with a degree in literature and a concentration in 20th-century American history, Jordan moved to Los Angeles, where he has worked with middle school and high school students on everything from HSPT, ISEE, SAT, ACT, GRE, and LSAT test prep to history, English, economics, essay writing and navigating the many steps of the college application process. Jordan believes that nothing inhibits learning quite like anxiety and stress. His ability to tailor lessons to individualized learning styles and paces helps to create an encouraging learning environment for his students that facilitates curious engagement with even the densest material.
When Jordan isn’t tutoring, he spends his time podcasting about the NBA, screenwriting for an eclectic array of TV shows on networks like Starz, CrunchyRoll, and ABC, and taking long hikes in the Altadena foothills with his dog. He is available in-person and remotely via Zoom.
