Rachel is an experienced tutor and teacher specializing in HSPT, ISEE, and mathematics. Rachel graduated cum laude from James Madison University and then earned a Masters of Education from George Mason University. Rachel was a classroom teacher for over a decade teaching geometry, algebra 2, trigonometry and pre-calculus. While working in the classroom, Rachel continued her work as a private tutor. As a dyslexic herself, Rachel works effectively with dyslexic students to develop coping strategies and to see the content in a way that works for each individual student. The relationships formed and helping each student grow are why she tutors. Beyond the classroom, she enjoys jigsaw puzzles, farmer’s markets and writing.
